Anne-Claire Pétré

My design journey began in France (Ecole Pivaut, Nantes) and continued through Scotland (Edinburgh College of Arts) before leading me to Australia in Adelaide, where I completed a hands-on furniture associateship at the JamFactory. Those experiences shaped the practical, detail-driven approach I bring to every piece today.

Each stage of that journey strengthened my appreciation for craftsmanship, quality materials, and thoughtful processes.

After relocating to Melbourne, I broadened my experience through roles with respected furniture brands and leading architecture and interior design studios.

My interest in furniture design began early and never faded. After more than a decade immersed in the industry, I reached a point where I wanted the freedom to create my own work and build a collection aligned with my values.

In 2012, I founded anaca studio, building a brand focused on thoughtful design, environmental responsibility, and local production. This was followed in 2020 by acp atelier, a collaboration with Stylecraft Furniture.

While my journey has been closely intertwined with these brands, my practice continues to evolve. I collaborate with architects and designers on commissioned and bespoke pieces, always exploring new ideas and creative directions.
